(TITC) - Located in the northwest gateway of Ha Noi, Vinh Phuc Province owns diversified tourism resources and plays an important role in the regional and national economic development strategy. To develop tourism in the context of the economic crisis, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Phuc Province has issued and deployed the plan responding to the Tourism Stimulus Program 2013 launched by Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).

The plan aims to mobilize tour operators, hotels, restaurants, transportation companies, tourist areas, shops and amusement areas to actively participate in the Tourism Stimulus Program to attract tourists to Vinh Phuc and stimulate their expenditure.

Accordingly, in 2013, the Vinh Phuc’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has planned to organize the destination introduction programs, create new tours; launch promotion campaigns for domestic and international tourists, improve awareness of local people through conferences on Vinh Phuc tourism; mobilize local people to implement urban civilized lifestyle and environmental hygiene; coordinate with the famtrip delegation of VNAT to survey new tours, tourist sites; encourage tour operators in collaboration with hotels, restaurants, tourist sites, amusement areas and shops to reduce prices of tours, tourism services, products but ensure its qualities; foster promotion activities for the Tourism Stimulus Program 2013; enhance to promote Vinh Phuc tourism in newspapers, radio and other media…

With the positive activities, in 2013, Vinh Phuc Tourism strives to welcome about 2 million tourist arrivals, including 27,000 international ones, the total tourism revenue reaches more than 800 billion VND.
