HCMC – The Saigon Times Group held a ceremony in HCMC this morning, December 12, to honor businesses with relentless efforts to support the community through their corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs.

Over 100 guests, including businesspeople, and representatives of foreign consulates general and chambers of commerce, and Saigon Times Group staff attended the Saigon Times CSR 2019 Merit Ceremony at the Caravelle Hotel in District 1.

The event successfully wrapped up the group’s four months of accompanying businesses by publishing articles on their outstanding practices in CSR in The Saigon Times Daily newspaper and its two sister news websites -- The Saigon Times Online and Thoi bao Kinh te Sai Gon Online.

In the first year of the Saigon Times CSR program, the Saigon Times Group handed the certificates of recognition to 41 participating businesses, who have attached special importance to CSR and contributed greatly to the communities where they operate.

Their contributions cover a wide range of areas, from education, healthcare, entrepreneurship and poverty reduction to environmental protection and traffic accident mitigation, among others.

The Saigon Times Group expects to expand the program next year to recognize more and more enterprises whose practices in CSR will lead to more prosperity and sustainable development in society.
